Out of Studio: Autumn Edit

by B&B Team on 14/09/2026

Each quarter, we’ll be sharing a small edit of the exhibitions, events and food and drink spots catching the attention of the B&B team – not as a definitive guide, but as a glimpse at what’s fuelling curiosity, conversation and inspiration across the studio.

This autumn, that takes us from immersive design and London food culture to a proper pub with a twist, a new Japanese townhouse restaurant in Notting Hill and one last attempt to pretend ice cream season isn’t over.

Es Devlin: Other Worlds, Design Museum

Opening at the Design Museum this autumn, Other Worlds invites us into the imaginative world of celebrated artist and designer Es Devlin. Spanning light, language, music, sculpture and stage design, it’s on our list as a chance to step inside a creative practice built around atmosphere, emotion and the power of experience.

The Macbeth, Hoxton

Just down the road from the new studio, The Macbeth has been on the team’s list for a while, partly because it’s a proper Hoxton pub oozing character, and partly because its Portuguese-inspired menu sounds too good not to try.

Nakimushi, Notting Hill

A new Japanese townhouse restaurant in Notting Hill has the team talking for the simple reason that it sounds like the perfect combination: ramen downstairs, small plates upstairs and shochu highballs somewhere along the way.

London Tastes, London Museum

Opening with the new London Museum in Smithfield this November, London Tastes caught our attention for a subject very close to B&B’s heart: food, and what it says about people, place and culture. From appetite and identity to migration, memory and change, it feels like a rich reminder that food is never just food, it’s culture, community and a story of place.

The Dreamery, De Beauvoir

Summer might be slipping away, but we’re not quite ready to let go. Just around the corner from the studio, The Dreamery has caught our attention with a brilliantly simple idea: ice cream and wine. A pairing that definitely needs to be sampled.
